Who should apply to be part of a YET Programme?
Young people (aged 16-24 years) who are ready to
face the challenges needed to make personal and vocational life changes.
The wilderness-based Programme is designed specifically to assist young
people to deepen their self-reliance and to develop motivation for
action in pursuit of fulfilling vocations and contributions within
their communities.

What does it cost to participate?
Scholarships are available (on application) to cover
the $3500 that it costs YET to conduct the Programme for each young
person. These scholarships are to ensure young people experiencing
genuine socio-economic disadvantage can feel encouraged to apply for
a place on this Programme.
How long has YET been around?
YET was established in 1990 by Lloyd Hancock, and
the YET Programme began in 1992. Up until 1999, YET was deliberately
low-profile and small scale - allowing years of opportunity to refine
Programme design and effectiveness.
Is YET run by the government or church?
YET is a wholly independent organisation, and while
non-denominational and non-sectarian does give practical expression
to certain universal values. YET does not seek or receive any government
funding.
