VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Corporate Volunteer
The team at YET plan to hold bi –annual Corporate Volunteer Days at the home of YET ‘Woodstock’, Mt Tamborine, Sth East Qld. We receive a number of requests from supporting Corporates who wish to engage in the work of YET, by offering teams of staff to assist YET in a number of ways.
The Corporate Volunteer Days will typically include projects such as gardening, painting, mowing, cleaning, and fencing. We will provide gloves, essential equipment, lunch and most importantly a rewarding and fun day out of the office…..and onto the farm.
If your organisation would prefer to offer professional services, your help is welcome. The YET staff have utilised the services of legal firms, accountants, gardening clubs and also facilitated groups in Marketing think tanks and event focused projects.
As a small not for profit organisation, YET is proactive in collating available resources to ensure the best outcome for the young people we serve. Your knowledge, experience and time are welcome.
Community Volunteers
Ultimately, YET envisage ’Woodstock‘ as a vibrant youth, community and environmental oasis. We welcome the opportunity to work with individuals and community groups who can contribute to YET as an organisation, or to the “Woodstock’ property.
"Woodstock" is a beautiful 300 acre farm on the Albert River at the base of Mt Tamborine, south of Brisbane - a wonderfully private location, but close to the main southern corridor of South-East Queensland from where many of our young people are drawn. The property’s natural assets of land mass, use of the Albert River which surrounds the property, the wetlands area and the versatile function venues lends itself to be a true oasis in the Australian bush.
We welcome volunteer support on the property on a casual or regular basis. Whether you wish to herd, clean, garden or mow – your help would be appreciated, and welcome. The ‘Woodstock’ gate is open to you!
