PROGRAMS
Using the land as a vehicle YET assists young people through personally challenging preventative, vocational and leadership programs that enable them to reconnect with themselves and community.
Based principally at ‘Woodstock’, the home of YET, these programs build off our core strengths: our knowledge, our people and our land.
Underpinned by a 'Strengths Based' approach our programs are designed so that participants do not consider themselves involved in a therapeutic intervention and our unique approach of using land to help facilitate internal shifts is powerful and highly effective.
Woodstock is an educational venue which facilitates experiential programs for young people and the broader community. The beautiful surrounds and natural environment provides a positive space to encourage personal growth and development.
Through Woodstock ,YET are able to provide a learning environment outside of school and home, introduce young people and the community to new skills & activities and provide the opportunity to accomplish practical tasks with concrete outcomes.
In addition to both day and residential Woodstock programs, we design and deliver wilderness experiences in South East and Central Queensland. YET are also able to deliver off site programs directly to school and community venues.
YET's approach to programming is objectives led and involves intensive client consultation and the establishment of pre and post program evaluations. Our programming expertise combined with quality staff and the fantastic natural resources that Woodstock offers, enables us to provide a flexible, rich and tailored programming approach.

Building Bridges Program, in partnership with Lifeline Communities for Children
YET’s program achievements in 2009 were acknowledged with the 2010 awarding of the Lifeline Communities for Children ‘Building Bridges’ contract. This two and a half year contract will allow YET to deliver early intervention programming to children in years 5 to 7 who reside in the Gold Coast Northern Corridor.
The majority of program participants, aged between 8 – 12 years, have been identified as at risk. These children will work through an array of trust based activities which will greatly assist with self confidence, esteem, problem solving and communication issues. The programs are delivered through a Woodstock based five day program, a school holiday program and a social club. Thanks to this funding partnership, over 800 children will benefit from the YET ‘Building Bridges’ programs.
